These dishes, that of In Forno, are beyond formulas; these are the stories communicated via taste, waiting, and the zeal. The invention of the very first pizza was in Naples – a new creation to honor Queen Margherita. Indeed, the Margherita pizza is the simplest one. It also is the “icon” that reflects what all Italian food is about: purity, color, and taste.

At In Forno, with our Margherita Pizza, we keep it at three major components only—San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella di bufala, and fresh basil. For 72 hours, the dough goes through a fermentation process, then it is stretched by hand and put in our wood-fired oven to bake until the golden char marks are made.

Such a simplicity is of the kind only geniuses can achieve—our chef surely does it with honor.

🍄 2. Truffle Mushroom Pizza: Earthy, Elegant, and Irresistible

Our Truffle Mushroom Pizza is one of the greats in the house, and the very idea of the creation was to spread the hearty rustic Italian comforting dishes all over Newcastle’s sleek table settings.

To the happiest and most fragrant of the dish – to the balanced side between the overeating and the aroma – go the sautéed mushrooms, and the truffle oil, along with mozzarella and parmesan. The woodfire-produced smoke deepens the truffle’s nature which is quite earthy—hence the luxurious and smooth-on-the-mouth experience.

It’s comfort food, but in a higher sphere.

🍝 3. Spaghetti Carbonara: The Italian Classic Reimagined

Carbonara has been instructed in a plethora of ways, however, at In Forno, we adhere to the original Roman idea—the use of cream is out of the question, only authentic ingredients.

The recipe is turned out using egg yolks, pecorino romano cheese, crunchy pancetta, and black pepper (just a little). The dish is done in a way that it is creamy and light at the same time—a texture and flavor combination that is the essence of authentic Italian comfort.

Each mouthful is a reminder that good eats don’t have to be complex; they only need to be genuine.

🍤 4. Prawn & Garlic Pizza: A Taste of Coastal Italy

Based on the favorite outdoor dining style of Italy-rustic coast-, the pizza melds the mildness of prawns with strong garlic flavor and a splash of chilli oil for the ultimate tastes mixture. On our famous wood fire base, the prawns are kept in their succulent state while the edges are perfect for crisping.

It is a summer evening’s choice, hence the perfect pairing with a glass of Pinot Grigio or Aperol Spritz.

🍮 5. Tiramisu: Italy’s Sweetest Story

Italian dining wouldn’t be complete without dessert and our Tiramisu is a love story of its own. Tiramisu means “pick me up”—a reference to the espresso and cocoa which energize the dessert.

We are doing it the traditional way at In Forno: layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, and a topping of cocoa powder. It is just the right decision to terminate a meal—the dessert is light, creamy, and resplendent with the past.

🍫 6. Nutella Dessert Pizza: Where Fun Meets Flavour

At times food ought to bring a smile to your face—our Nutella Dessert Pizza is doing just that.

Our 72-hours fermented dough is what Nutella is spread on, and then the pizza is garnished with strawberries and icing sugar. What we have here is a delightful trick of the Italian-style sweet section. Besides being dessert, it is joy served on a dish—favored by kids and adults alike.
